Across the Airless Wilds is a good history of the development and construction of the lunar rover, from the earliest ideas, to all the design issues the engineers faced. For more technical details, see "Lunar Rover (Haynes publishing). However, I wish the book was expanded to cover the missions (Apollo 15, 16 and 17) that used the rover in more detail!! These three missions were a scientific bonanza, made possible by use of the lunar rover, as well as exploring visually spectacular territory. Hopefully someone will give these last three Apollo missions the coverage they deserve!!
